Lizzie grew up surrounded by all kinds of music - her parents owned a record shop during 50s, 60s & 70s. As her love of jazz developed, Lizzie began singing with other musicians and running her own bands.
Her vocal influences include Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, Julie London and Diana Krall as well as instrumentalists such as Bill Evans, Chet Baker and Stan Getz. Her first album ‘You Don’t Know What Love Is” was released in 2012.
Lizzie now runs her own jazz club in the Midlands where she has performed with Alan Barnes, Bruce Adams, Simon Spillett, Enrico Tomasso, Mark Nightingale, Roy Williams, Julian Stringle, Art Themen, Gordon Campbell, Karen Sharp & Stuart Henderson.
She sings songs by George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin and Carlos Jobim as well as many others..
She performs as a duo (with piano or guitar), a trio (usually piano & bass) quartet (piano, bass, drums), or quintet (with sax or trumpet). These combinations can provide a variety of styles, tempos and dynamic levels to suit a wide range of venues and occasions - from The Great Gatsby to The American Songbook.
Her sophisticated style and mellow voice mean she is in ideal choice for live music in restaurants and the cocktail lounge as well as weddings, parties and functions.
Some of the well known places she has performed at include The Savoy Hotel London, Windsor Castle, Cliveden House, Royal Ascot Racecourse, Oakley Court Hotel, Warwick Castle and Oxford University. However Lizzie is equally at home performing in small restaurants and bars, or at weddings and family parties. Her fees and choice of band can be tailored to meet most budgets and locations.
"Your music was a perfect accompaniment to the evening. Our table was entranced by your singing!" New Year's Eve 2015, Brasserie Blanc, Bristol
"You were absolutely superb and we all loved you. So want you to come back in the summer" Lady Paula Byrne, Gatsby party New Year's Eve 2014, Oxford University
